Here’s some facts about Paygo

Enrollment

When will Paygo billing start?
First, we need to receive your signed agreement. Then, when you get your next scheduled fill up, your billing switches to Paygo. (In some cases, we may also need to install a fuel monitor.) You don’t pay anything for that fuel until you use it.

Why must I sign an agreement?
We are delivering fuel and extending credit that allows you to pay long after you’ve received it. So we want to be clear about the how that works. But remember, you can stop your Paygo service at any time simply by paying us for the fuel that has been delivered, but hasn’t been paid for yet.

Pricing

Will I pay any more with Paygo?
No. You pay your normal price, posted on your delivery ticket, until you use up the fuel you received. If you are a senior citizen, you will get your applicable discount. Also, as long as you pay your monthly bill within 10 days of receiving it, you can keep take an early pay discount too.

What if I’m on a price cap or fixed price program?
The price you are charged will be dictated by your program, but you won’t have to pay for the fuel before you use it. However, if you pre-buy your fuel, this program will not work for you.

Delivery

Will I still get a delivery ticket?
Yes. Nothing changes from how you currently get your fuel. But you won’t be billed for it until we’ve estimated you’ve used it.

How does the no run-out guarantee work?
If you ever run out of fuel on automatic delivery with us, we will credit your account $50. We are that confident in the accuracy of our tracking system. However, you must pay within your credit terms, of course, to ensure your deliveries are not interrupted. And please let us know if there’s a change in your household that might cause you to burn more fuel.

Billing

How exactly will billing work?
Once a month, we send you a statement that includes how much fuel we calculated you used the previous 30 days, the price this fuel was delivered at, along with any other charges from our company.

Whom do I pay?
You pay us, just like always.

Do my credit terms change?
No. But your money is due from the date of your monthly statement rather than from the date of your delivery

Fuel Monitoring

How do you track my fuel usage?
We do this in one of two ways. By using Paygo’s Enhanced Degree Day ™ tracking system or by putting a Paygo Fuel Monitor on your tank. It depends on where you live and what type of fuel tank you have.

How does the Enhanced Degree Day ™ tracking system work?
Our computer system estimates your daily use by tracking the daily temperature and matching it against your household burning rate (sort of like your car’s mpg). This is information that we already track and maintain as part of serving you now, but Paygo takes it up a notch.

How does the fuel monitor work?
It measures the fuel in your tank automatically. It sends a reading to us every day that shows what the levels are, and if any fuel has been used.

How long does it take for to install the fuel monitor?
Usually it takes just 10 or 15 minutes. There is no charge for this.

What if there’s a discrepancy between what the Paygo tracking system says I used and what my delivery tickets show I received?
No problem. With each fill up, we perform a “Meter True-up”. It compares the gallons we think you used (and were billed for) vs. the gallons you actually received to fill your tank. If needed, we make an adjustment in your next monthly invoice to match the two. In the end, you only pay for exactly the fuel you received at the price on your delivery ticket (minus any applicable discounts, of course.) You just pay for it more gradually.

Other Questions

Can I refer friends and neighbors who also want to pay this way?
Yes. We’d be thrilled to have other customers who want to “pay fair” for a change. In fact, we’ll credit your account with $75 every time you refer someone who becomes a new automatic delivery customer.

What if I want to go back to paying the old way?
No problem. We can make the change at any time. All you need to do is pay us for any fuel you have received but not paid for yet, and allow us to come and remove the fuel monitor ( if one has been installed.) Then we’d start billing you the old way when we make your next delivery.

What if I move or want to stop all service from you?
Again, no problem. All you need to do is let us remove the fuel monitor (if one has been installed) and pay us for fuel you have received but not paid for yet. This includes fuel that is remaining in your tank at the time of cancellation. That payment is due within 10 days of canceling your account.

What if I don’t pay my bill on time?
The same thing that occurs now. If you go beyond our credit terms, you will be subject to finance charges. Eventually, you could be removed from Paygo and/ or terminated as a customer.
